In December, I posted this 6+1 bedroom, 9 bathroom, 8,760 square feet above grade and 2935 square feet below grade house with a detached 3 car garage on an 80 x 229.25 foot lot at 20 Elm Avenue in South Rosedale.

According to the June article about the house in Toronto Life magazine, it was the home to the Bank of Montreal's COO, Frank Techar.

And it was a BIG house.

It was fully updated in 2000 with an elevator, a lap pool, and bathrooms that look like they may have been redone since the 2000 restoration.

According to Toronto Life, the current owners bought the house in 2006 for $7,500,000 (which is probably when the bathrooms were redone).  

In June 2016, it was listed for $11,700,000.

This was a large house on a large lot but it wasn't a ravine lot like the house at 166 Crescent Road and  6 Beaumont Road that sold for $7,888,000 and $7,814,718 respectively.

So, this was kind of high. 

When I posted it in December, it had just had a price drop to $9,950,000.  I wasn't so sure that was enough.

It has finally sold...

For (approximately ) $9,100,000.
