102 Leacrest Road - LEASIDE, TORONTO (7 Comments)

When I saw this 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with 3 parking spots on a 42.17 x 100 foot lot at 102 Leacrest Road in south Leaside in Toronto…

I immediately thought of the house at 257 Manor Road East…

And after a quick google search, it turns out that house was done by the same people - Nathalie Thorel of Interior Affairs and Patrick Skuce of Caledon Building and Design.

This is a new build (I think) on a lot that used to look like this…

That house sold for $1,600,000 in the spring of 2017 and was replaced with this house.

Of the 2 new build houses, this one is by far my favourite.

I like all the finishes in this house unlike that fireplace wall in the Manor house…

I wouldn’t say it is a huge house and 2 of the bedrooms don’t have closets and that yard isn’t very private right now…

But the house is open and bright with a good kitchen and a pantry. And overall, it is a really good house.

It looks like from the streetview that it was for sale through the builders in at least July…

The asking price was $2,850,000. At the beginning of October, it was dropped to $2,800,000.

It is now listed at $2,699,000.

Considering the Manor house was listed at $2,199,000 and sold for $2,501,000 almost 2 years ago…

That price doesn’t seem too crazy.

But I suppose the location isn’t as good not being located an easy walk to the Bayview stores like the Manor house. And the fact that it is kind of close to the North Toronto Wastewater Treatment Plant…

Could be a bit of a deal breaker.

But it is a good house with 4 bedrooms on a quiet street. But I’m thinking at that price, even with the new price, the location might be a drawback.
