PRICE DROP - 222 Markham Street - LITTLE ITALY, TORONTO (3 Comments)
A little over a year ago, I posted this 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom semi with a detached garage on a 16.17 x 131 foot lot at 222 Markham Street in Little Italy.
It was a flip of a house that used to look like this...
And there were some issues.
For some reason, they moved the laundry from the basement and left the original tile that looks like there may have been some water issues (the wet vac isn't helping that thought)...
One of the bedrooms was tiny...
And the master bedroom closet was that little door under the roof...
But there was this fruit bowl...
That reminded me of a cross between Carmen Miranda...
And Charo...
And it really put the chuci chuci into the staging.
Unfortunately, that fruit bowl (as well as a lot of the staging) is now gone and has been replaced with this...
Perhaps this was the inspiration...
When this house was first listed a little over a year ago, the asking price was $1,698,000, but acccording to the reader who sent it in, they were apparently expecting it to go for $2,000,000.
It didn't sell and a month later, the price was increased to $1,989,000. At some point since then, it was increased again to $1,999,900.
The price has now been dropped to...
$1,799,999.
