SOLD - 25 Earl Grey Road - THE POCKET, TORONTO (1 Comment)

I love this house.

I don’t think I could live in it as is without painting the whole thing but I love how they committed to the colour scheme…

Which I think may have been inspired by the opening of 1980’s Romper Room…

There are A LOT of colours. Even the garden house is lime green!

It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with a detached garage and another parking spot on a 32.16 x 100 foot lot at 25 Earl Grey Road in the Pocket neighbourhood in Toronto.

If you need 2 bedrooms, this has it but the 2nd bedroom is small and the bathroom is tiny…

Or, if you only needed one room, you could make those closets a door into a large bathroom/dressing room instead of the second bedroom.

OR…

If you don’t want either and you are a builder, you could tear this place down and replace it with 2 semis like the houses 2 doors down since it is a double lot…

(But that tree to the right may be an issue with those neighbours or the city.)

Either way, I love to see a house with unique personality even if it’s not for me.

This house was listed at $999,900. It sold…

For $1,311,000.

So, what’s your guess? Staying as is, reno to a 1 bedroom, or torn down to create 2 semis?

P.S. Hopefully that chair in the living room facing the front door doesn’t slide around much.
