229 Winnett Avenue - HUMEWOOD, TORONTO
I’m really confused.
Years ago, I posted this 1+1 bedroom, 1 bathroom bungalow with 1 parking spot on a 12.5 x 79.52 foot lot at 229 Winnett Avenue in the Humewood neighbourhood in Toronto when it looked like this…
I mentioned that it wasn’t a huge house but it was charming.
I also pointed out that I had never seen a clock at a front door before…
Which just got me thinking of this guy…
Flavor Flav AKA Fufie Fuf.
Inside, the house was comfortable with a surprisingly large, though dated, kitchen.
Now, I wouldn’t say this house is exactly comfortable. The kitchen has since been renovated and if you are into black, you will like it but…
The only ‘comfortable’ chair is a red version of this IKEA chair…
And if you are more into an Endy type mattress, that bed may not be your thing. It’s all fine and to each their own (I would personally prefer a couch or 2) but then I noticed the basement and this is where I got confused.
In the listing from 2014, the basement looked like this…
In this listing, it looks like this…
Like…
Did they rip out the drywall and ceiling and put down tile instead of wood to make it NOT comfortable!?!
I just don’t get it.
In 2014, this place was listed at $329,000 and it sold for $365,000.
Yesterday, it came back on the market for…
$589,000.
It’s a bright house that could be totally different with plush furniture if that is what you prefer so I don’t see it sitting for long.
But can someone please explain to me what happened in the basement!?! This makes no sense to me.
Unless…
Maybe it has something to do with that dehumidifier in the back corner of the basement that has a hose that goes directly into the basement drain.
Perhaps but I still think it will sell fast.
