52 Argyle Street - TRINITY-BELLWOODS, TORONTO (9 Comments)

Last month, I posted a 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 52 x 50 foot lot at 53 Argyle Street just west of Ossington in Beaconsfield Village

It was an interesting house that had already been on the market for a couple of months at $3,999,000 with an increase in January to $4,200,000.

Now, the house that I thought would have been the house this guy was walking in front of across the street from 53 Argyle Street…

Is on the market as well. But it is not across the street. It is actually on the other side of Ossington in Trinity-Bellwoods and has this woman in front instead…

(Nice bag.)

It was last listed in 2014 when it looked like this…

Since then, it has been completely redone by David Weenen, the same person behind the more traditional house at 30 Whitehall Road (did that ever sell?)…

This is a 3+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house on an 18 x 92 foot lot that is a little more modern than the Rosedale house with the kitchen and the glass railings, but it still has some traditional elements like the bathrooms.

I’m not sure why there is a kitchen in the basement when it doesn’t look like it was intended to be a rental with that open staircase to the basement, but I guess it’s good to have if you entertain a lot.

And it is hard to get a look at the backyard with all the snow, but overall, this is a good house if you are okay with 2 of the bedrooms being pretty small.

The asking price is…

$2,595,000.

Those are eyes.

You know, like this…
