432 Clendenan Avenue - THE JUNCTION, TORONTO (10 Comments)
This is a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with 1 parking spot on a 25 x 82 foot lot at 432 Clendenan Avenue in the Junction in Toronto.
It is a house that was featured in 2015 in Dwell magazine (see photo above) where it was recognized for its smart design. As for the design, it was done by Gloria Apostolou of Post Architecture and I really like it.
It’s bright and feels very spacious. I like all the finishes from the glass and concrete wall at the entrance to the ktichen to the bathrooms to the windows.
But speaking of windows…
As you can see through these front windows in the living room, the front of this house looks right into the back or 2 houses.
Why? Because it is a coach house.
It’s located in the backyards of these houses…
(Or maybe it is just behind the white house.)
Probably not ideal for a lot of people but the house itself is a VERY good house.
Maybe, considering it is a coach house, people aren’t prepared to pay the asking price as this house has been on the market for a couple of weeks.
It is listed at $1,975,000.
Or maybe because it is a coach house, some people may not even know it is out there.
Either way, it’s still a really good house.
But I’m really curious about what the yard situation is. Is it just that driveway and the piece of grass beside it? Also, what is that chain for hanging down from the top right corner of the house?
