1 May Street - ROSEDALE, TORONTO (3 Comments)

This is a 3+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house with a 2 car garage on a 50 x 126 foot lot at 1 May Street in Rosedale in Toronto.

It is a house that used to look like this in 2003…

It was torn down and replaced with a Gordon Ridgley designed house that went on the market for the first time in 2007.

It sold in 2003 for $1,401,200 and was back on the market as a new house, or rebuild, for $5,500,000. It didn’t sell, or at least the listing was terminated, and was back on the market a few months later for $5,950,000.

Again it didn’t sell/was terminated but wasn’t back on the market for another decade.

In 2017, it was back on the market for $7,500,000 when it looked like this…

It was back on the market again in 2018 after another terminated listing at $7,500,000.

A few months later in 2018, the price was dropped to $6,988.000 and it finally sold for $6,500,000.

It is now back on the market with few changes except for furniture (though they kept the dining room set), a stair runner, and art. There is a lot of art in this house.

The asking price is now…

$9,760,000.

Which is a 22.5% annual compounded increase.

Maybe it comes with the art.
