30 Rathnelly Avenue - RATHNELLY, TORONTO (5 Comments)

This is a great looking house.

It is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom townhouse on a 16.67 x 151.83 foot lot with no parking at 30 Rathnelly Avenue in the Rathnelly neighbourhood in Toronto.

And the second I saw it, especially when I saw this room…

Like the house at 297 Carlton Street

(that in retrospect, he probably wasn’t so happy about)

I realised that this house remindined me a lot of Tommy Smythe. But unlike the Carlton house, this house had more of ‘a designer lives here’ vibe.

According to the listing, the current owners renovated the house themselves and it is done really well. I don’t know if the windows and doors on the first floor are original, but they are amazing. And overall, it is a great looking home with nothing overlooked.

So, of course I went to his Instagram to confirm and guess what I saw…

It’s not the same room but it looks VERY similar.

But whether this is Tommy’s house, whether he designed it, or if it has nothing to do with him (weird that there is photo of him on the 3rd floor though), it is still a really good house and I am not the only one to think that because this house was listed almost 2 weeks ago for $1,899,000…

And sold in 2 days…

For $2,100,000.

Check out the walk through here.

P.S. Hey Wikipedia…

This is not Sebastian Clovis

UPDATE: Thank you to Tom Symes of Thomas Design and Build for confirming that this is not the home of Tommy Smythe but his own.

But you can see my confusion when I thought this photo was of Tommy Smythe…

Because here is a photo of Tommy with his sister, Christie Smythe of Smythe

And here is a photo of her with Tom Symes, the owner of this house, from Syme’s Instagram account…

I think you can see my confusion here.

And Tommy is still Sebastian Clovis in Wkipedia.
