There are so many houses on the market right now that I want to post!
So, you may be asking yourself why this specific house.
Well, it’s because on Friday, I literally drove past this house and thought to myself how when it was last listed in 2006 when it looked like this…
I remember thinking that the price that it sold for then was crazy at the time. It was a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on a 34 x 60 foot lot and it was listed at $800,000. It sold for $975,000.
So, when I saw it again on Friday, I wondered what it looked like inside now and when it might possibly go back on the market and for how much.
Five days later, it is on the market (this actually happens to me a lot more than is probably normal, anyone else?).
It is now a 2+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house and it has been completely redone.
As it is a 14 year old renovation, there are some things I would change like all the dark wood (though I am sure there are many that would disagree). I would also like to lighten the floors to a white oak or something similar. Or lighten the floors only and keep the dark wood. Otherwise, for a couple, this is a great move-in ready house with a good sized yard for the area.
And now that I have seen the inside, the only other question is what the asking price would be. This house is listed at…
$3,150,000.
For the current market and the location of this house…
Not so crazy now.
