29 Tecumseth Street - NIAGARA, TORONTO

This is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom semi with 2 parking spots on a 22.25 x 57.70 foot lot at 29 Tecumseth Street in the Niagara neighbourhood in Toronto.

It is a house that used to look like this when it was last listed in 2010…

From the street view, it looks like it was redone in 2012 and 2013 and according to the listing, it was done by Keith Jones, Principal and Design Director of And Good Company. They are generally a ‘strategic design consultancy’ business and don’t do residential homes other than this one so I assume this is Jones’s own house.

And it is a good house, especially considering it is an almost 10 year old renovation (okay, 7 years but close to 10).

As one reader said, it would be impossible to child proof but I disagree. A cgass wall could be put up beside the stairs on the first floor like in the second floor. And speaking of the second floor stairs, perhaps plexiglass can be installed as risers. The concrete steps to the backyard look great but may be an issue. And other than that hammock thing on the second floor and the railings of the deck…

I think it is possible to make this a little more child proof. But it would clearly take a little work.

In 2010, the asking price was $439,900 and it sold for $416,000. Nine years later and with a full renovation, it is now listed at…

$1,525,000.

I don’t see it sitting for long.

P.S. I wonder if the jelly fish comes with the house.
