SOLD - 158 Glen Road - ROSEDALE, TORONTO

This is a 6+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house with a 2 car garage plus 2 front pad parking spots on a 40 x 145 foot lot at 158 Glen Road in north Rosedale in Toronto.

And if it looks familiar, you have been reading this blog for a long time.

This is one of the first houses I posted. It had been on the market in 2010 before the blog started but didn’t sell and with a few changes to the interior, it was back on the market in 2012.

I loved the outside of the house but I wasn’t crazy about the inside as the style of the furniture wasn’t really for me. There was a lot of brown and yellow and the house felt dark. The kitchen was a good size but was also dark.

In 2010, it had been listed at $3,490,000. When it was listed in 2012, the price was down to $2,995,000. It sold for $2,685,000.

Last month, it was back on the market with a new kitchen that was much brighter, new bathrooms, a fully redone basement, and an overall brighter, more modern feel.

The asking price was $5,295,000 which sounds like a lot without the changes but made sense with the new kitchen, bathrooms, and basement.

It didn’t sell right away and sat on the market for a few weeks. It eventually sold for…

$5,200,000.

Wonder if the lower price had anything to do the neighbour that looked like this in 2009….

And looked like this in 2019…

It looks like it has been under renovations for at least a decade! Seriously, what is going on with that house!?!
