421 Craven Road - LESLIEVILLE, TORONTO

Craven Road fascinates me. I have no idea why.

Maybe this video that was in a blogTO article about the street from 2014 sums it up…

Or maybe it is just because it is a quirky street.

In the above video, this house at 421 Craven Road in Leslieville was featured at the 2:07 and 3:43 mark when it still looked like this…

In 2004, ten years before that video was filmed this house that was a 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom home on a 17 x 73 foot lot was listed at $140,000 and it sold for $130,000.

By 2017 and after a full renovation and addition that would make Jonathan happy as it still felt like a ‘cottage town’ home from the front, this house was on the market for $899,900. It eventually sold for $945,000.

Four years later and with what looks like few if any changes, this house is now on the market…

For $899,000.

So, I guess looking for a bidding war? Probably. And they will probably get it as this house shows really well and is a great condo alternative. And at a 6% compounded interest, would now be a $1,200,000 house.

Jonathan is going to be pissed about his property taxes going up.
