Soon after this blog was started, I posted a 5+2 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 50 x 151.3 foot that was listed at $3,195,000.

It was a house that needed work but had a lot of potential.

After an full renovation in collaboration with architect Jim Pearson and designer Brian Gluckstein, this house was completely redone with the help of Fairmont Properties.

And while the transformation is pretty amazing, I’m not sure how I feel about it. Obviously if you aren’t into the lack of colour in the design as many commenters were stating in the blogTO post when this house was initially listed in June for $1,6300,000, it can easily be changed to add more colour.

But what I can’t really wrap my head around is why they took a 5+2 bedroom house, I presume did a big addition…

And this is only a 3+1 bedroom house!!!

For $16,300,000!!! I don’t get it.

I suppose you could create a 4th bedroom on the third floor but I don’t understand what feels like 2 principal bedrooms on the second floor…

I don’t get it.

But someone eventually decided that wasn’t a big deal. Or that they would redo it because why not? When your spending that much money on a house you may as well make it exactly how you like it.

It was enough though for this house to sit on the market for almost 2 months but this house finally sold a couple weeks ago…

For $13,600,000.

Like seriously, is a little kid or a teenager going to take that other room on the second floor?

Or is this actually a $13.6 million dollar ‘downsizer’ with his and hers principal suites (which it seems to be after looking at this walkthrough)?
