24 Heathdale Road - HUMEWOOD, TORONTO

This is a 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom with 3 parking spots on a 50 x 161.14 foot lot at 24 Heathdale Road in Humewood in Toronto.

When I first saw the outside photo, I instantly thought of the at 339 Rumsey Road in Leaside…

But that house was designed by Jaegap Chung of JCI Architects.

This house, the second I saw the inside and recognized it right away, was done by architect Drew Mandel who is also the architect of this Beaches House...

And this house at 6 Evergreen Gardens in Bennington Heights…

In the post for the sale of the Bennington house, I mentioned that he was also the designer for this house.

Though I didn’t know exactly where it was located, I recognized it as the star of the movie from the Atom Egoyan film, 'Chloe', that was filmed in Toronto and also starred Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfriend.

At the time, I loved the kitchen and the rest of the house that the house itself distracted me from the rest of the movie.

I still love the house but the black leather couch and cowhide rug make the living room feel a little cold for me. It feels to me like it needs something made of fabric. But I just double checked and the furniture is the same as it was then, just with more leather furniture now.

So, I guess this house has not sold since it was first built.

It is now on the market for possibly the first time…
