79 Fishleigh Drive - CLIFFSIDE

Though I am not so crazy about the front, and the rust and green paint colours inside, I really like everything else about this house. As can be seen from the Google Street View map below, this 4+1 bedroom, 4 bath house located right on the Scarborough bluffs in the Cliffside neighbourhood, is a new build.

If you look around the neighbourhood, you can see that it is a mixed bag of war time homes and new builds. My guess is that soon this neighbourhood will be mostly new builds. With it's close location to downtown and stunning views of the lake, not to mention the easy access to Bluffer's park and the tennis club, it is a waiting opportunity to own some amazing real estate in Toronto.

There aren't a lot of restaurants on the main drag of Kinston Road but I think this will change as more new builds go up.

As I mentioned, I really like how they have done this house. That kitchen would look really good in the house at 81 Highland Avenue actually! And I really like the mix of the rustic wood with the new fixtures in the washrooms. And that rooftop patio is AMAZING!!

But the dining room? I don't like how it is so open like that. I find there are some weird wall placements happening. And the paint colours.....that can be changed. And I don't find the entry way very welcoming but I do like the tile. Oh, and the wood, which is really nice except for the fact that it runs sideways. Not sure why that bugs me so much.

All in all, this is a really nice, family friendly house in a nice neighbourhood. Just don't fall off the cliffs!

Do you think its asking price of $2,195,000 is too high though? It might be but give it 4 more years and it will be bang on.
