This 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 25 x 174.75 foot lot was listed in December.

I didn't get it.

There is no dining room.  There is a basement 'living room' and there is a family room off the kitchen, but the only 'dining room' is around the kitchen island.  

And as one reader pointed out, the toilet is right at the window overlooking the street.  Unless you had black-out blinds, the whole neighbourhood is going what's going on there.

It was listed at $3,249,000.

Considering that it was last listed in January 2012 for $1,199,000, I can't imagine that this was close to a $2,000,000 new build.  Of course, the flipper is looking for profit, but come on! Even if it sold for $1,500,000 in 2012, it's still a little nuts.

Not to mention the no dining room thing....

And the toilet.

For that price, I would MUCH rather buy the house across the street at 367 Walmer Road (even though it too is overpriced), completely gut that place, modernize it (or do basically ANYTHING you wanted) but leave the front the same.  And it could be done probably for UNDER the original asking price of this house....

So, it wasn't a surprise when this place had a price drop in February to $2,999,0000.  Then another one  in March to $2,899,000.  And then another one in April to $2,699,000.

At that point, I thought they were getting closer.

Well, it has had another price drop....

To $2,599,000.

Almost there!!!!
