17 Ottawa Street - SUMMERHILL
If this house at 17 Ottawa Street in Summerhill looks familiar, it is because I posted it in September 2011.
I really liked the house and, especially the tile in the front hall and kitchen.
And, as I pointed out in the post for the neighbour at 15 Ottawa Street, I loved the fact that the front steps were done by the Stone Garden guy...
When I posted the house at 17 Ottawa Street, the asking price was $1,095,000.
It's 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on an 18.5 x 85 foot lot just steps to Yonge Street.
All the bathrooms are done, the basement is finished (it has had a little work done since it was last listed), and there is a nice garden with a second floor deck. The only problem was there was no parking.
In 2011, it sold for $1,070,000.
It is now listed at $1,295,000.
Considering that the house around the corner at 87 Summerhill Avenue sold for $1,595,000 in February (still shocked by that one)...
Is the price so crazy?
And when I say crazy, I don't mean the actual number. I'm talking about what someone is willing to pay for it.
And yes, I think someone will be willing to pay that price for this.
Maybe a little closer to $1,275,000.
