This is sooooooooo much better.
At the beginning of March, I posted this 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with 1 parking spot on a 23.36 x 122.01 foot lot at 149 Blantyre Avenue in the Fallingbrook neighbourhood in Toronto.
It was a modern house filled with lots of beautiful wood that was done by Williamson Chong Architects that looked like this…
It was a great house but there was no living area on the first floor other than this space that fit one chair…
The rest of the first floor was all kitchen. It wasn’t ideal for a family despite being a great house.
It had initially been listed at $2,295,000. When I posted it for the first time, the price had been dropped to $2,075,000 which was a good drop but I wasn’t sure it would be enough without a first floor living space.
Two weeks later, the price was down to $1,975,000. By the end of April, it was down to $1,849,000.
That living room thing was clearly an issue.
But…
It has been fixed and it is soooooo much better.
The front door has been moved to that space where that red chair was and the front steps and space in front of the former front door was closed in and made into the living room…
It is now going to appeal to a LOT more people. Not to mention that they have dropped the price again.
The new asking price for this now functional (but still only 3 bedroom) house is…
$1,699,000.
I’m guessing it’s going to sell fast this time around.
