17 Mechanic Avenue - LITTLE PORTUGAL, TORONTO (4 Comments)

This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom semi on a 15.5 x 76 foot lot at 17 Mechanic Avenue in Little Portugal, Toronto.

It's an interesting house.

When I saw the photos of the first floor, it reminded me of a cross between the shabby chic house at 171 Willow Avenue in the Beaches...

And the house at 424 Euclid Avenue in the Palmerston neighbourhood...

Whose interior reminded me of the interiors done by British designer, Sera of London.

It's definitely a distinct style.

I'm not really sure why these photos are in the listing...

But the photos of the house itself do a really good job of showing off the house.

It's bright and open with quirky aspects like the painted floors, kind of random kitchen, and tree house in the backyard.  I just don't get why the fence doesn't go all the way across.  And it doesn't seem to have a finished basement.

But it is a good house.

The asking price is $849,900.

I doubt it will sit for long.

P.S.  Is it me or is that neighbour's addition a little much...
