204 Balmoral Avenue - SOUTH HILL
This house located in South Hill, just south of Forest Hill, is pretty impressive. And so are the pictures! They look like they are straight out of a Canadian House and Home magazine shoot.
Actually, there are! This house was featured in the April 2011 issue. The pictures were taken by Virginia Macdonald and the designer was Anne Hepfer.
With 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a home theatre with fireplace, an office, a basement mudroom, a playroom, an exercise room and a separate garage, all on a double lot, the price tag of $4,998,000 seems pretty reasonable. This is a pretty crazy house.
But for some reason, the original price was $3,000 less. LESS! I don't understand that.
And though this house is located on a
109.94ft x 134.9ft sized lot, all the yard is located at the front, with a little yard at the side. But there are bushes blocking the yard from the street for privacy though they could be a little higher.
With the care that was taken in all the finishing touches of the decor, it is pretty reasonable to assume that the restoration was done with as much care.
This house is both grand and homey at the same time. A bit pricey at $5 million (unless it came with the furniture) but I couldn't imagine it being priced less.
