50 Poplar Plains Crescent - RATHNELLY
For $1,650,000, this house at the top of Rathnelly seems like a deal!
But there are issues inside. It isn't large and there is no room to build out because it backs onto what many agents call a 'reverse ravine'. I call it a hill.
And everything looks like it hasn't been touched in 20 or 30 years.
I think it is possible though to make this a great house without a lot of money.
Or you could spend lots on a new kitchen, opening up the kitchen to the sunroom and making a proper family room. Redoing all the washrooms, the floors (what is with that tile to carpet thing in the sunroom), and the garden.
And the front door looks like it might get a little drafty underneath...
But there is parking for 5 cars!
I don't think this house will sit for long and will probably go for closer to $1,850,000.
Would you rather spend $1,650,000 on this house or the one a few streets down on Cottingham that sold for $1,581,000?
