13 Foxley Street - BEACONSFIELD VILLAGE
This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom rowhouse was renovated in 2009 and there is definitely a Connie Braemar feel to it. With the wall panelling, the floors, the grey doors, the staircase and everything about the kitchen.
Even though I don't understand why there are 4 stools at the counter making it look like a restaurant, I love the kitchen. Everything about it.
If Connie was the designer of the house, I don't think she picked the furniture. Not loving that couch and hide rug (too much animal happening for me) but the tv console is amazing.
Upstairs is not quite as done but is nice. If the shower door was changed to look like the ones at 131 Morse Street in Leslieville, it would make a HUGE difference.
Instead of this...
It would be this...
I am also not loving the sink in the washroom of this house.
But other than a few easy changes in the bathroom, this house is great. If you want to be close to Ossington, this is a terrific option. The inside is done, the backyard was professionally done in 2011, there are exterior speakers (bet the neighbours really love that...then again, they live half a block to a strip of busy restaurants on Ossington), and there is a 1 car garage.
Considering that the house at 49 Brookfield Street a few blocks away sold for $1,265,000, I think the asking price of this house at $849,000 is fair.
It will probably sell for closer to $950,000 though. Maybe even $970,000.
The choice of paint colours at the front is kind of interesting...
