936 Carlaw Avenue - PLAYTER ESTATES
$749,900.
Do you think that is too much?
This house is 3+1 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and sits on a 15.67 x 101.5 foot lot. Even though it isn't that wide, it seems large.
The house is good, a typical flip but I don't love the kitchen because of the colour (I would want to paint those white or a very light grey), the finish, the stove situation and what generally looks like a waste of space.
I don't understand why there is so much space for that stove to go in the kitchen and they put it in the counter where the stools are!!! How do you read the paper and eat eggs on a Sunday if the paper is just going to catch flames!?! It makes no sense unless they are conducting a cooking show like Julia Child and Jacques Pepin.
Also, if you are going to go long, do something like they did at 13 Foxley in Beaconsfield Village. The cupboard layout is better and the style is MUCH better. It also seems like this kitchen space is large enough that it could have accomodated some sort of sitting area. Two chairs and a tv or something...a good Sunday newspaper spot since you can't read at the counter....or an island like the 2 bedroom at 927 Logan that sold for $939,000 in February.
I also don't love the diagonal floors. I don't understand that at all. And it looks like a king sized bed might be a tough squeeze...
Otherwise, this is a good house. It is a good location if you want to be in this area but there doesn't seem to be any parking.
The price is $749,900.
It is similar to the house I posted in June at 107A Ferrier. That house seems to have sold. It was listed for $789,000. I thought it would sell over but it was on the market for a few weeks. It probably didn't sell for asking but I bet it wasn't much less.
I think this house can get asking. That kitchen though...
