I am a little underwhelmed by this place.
Don't get me wrong...this cottage named 'Edgestone' is amazing and VERY impressive but for $15,500,000!?! For less than that you can get a dark cottage like this one but on it's own island!
This 7,000 square foot cottage actually isn't as dark as the St. Helen's cottage but it is dark. I am not saying it should ALL be painted white like the master bedroom or the boathouse but maybe just a little less unpainted wood...it's just too much for me.
The 29 acre grounds look very well kept and I am sure that is not cheap. Is it me or does interlocking brick seem to be a bit much at a cottage, regardless of the price?
I guess this huge price is explained by the 2,000 feet of shoreline and 4 other vacant lots which provide family compound potential (I really wish the aerial view in this listing showed the property lines)...
But still....almost $16MM!?! For a cottage!?!
