SOLD - 214 Cottingham Street - RATHNELLY
I was in the middle of writing up this listing when I found out that this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom duplex on a 30 x 139.7 foot lot had sold.
It was listed at $1,595,000 and it sold for $1,595,000.
Considering that the detached house down the street at 187 Cottingham was on the market for ages but finally sold for $1,640,000, I thought this place would be on the market for a bit more than a week.
I did not think it would sell for asking.
Both houses need a lot of work and I love the look of both from the front but this house is a semi. And it needs a LOT of work (maybe that carpet shows better in person).
If the house at 28 Bernard in the Annex that also needed work sold for $2,175,000 last October, maybe it makes sense then.
But it doesn't make sense that 187 Cottingham, as a detached, didn't sell for more. I love that house! I suppose it didn't have a garage though....
