There is a bit of a Norman Bates feel to the outside of this house at 78 Augusta Street in Port Hope but I love the inside (actually, I love the outside too).
It is a large house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on a 66 x 330 foot lot. There is parking for 7 cars and it sits on a hill apparently with great views and close to the lake and downtown. Isn't everything in Port Hope close to downtown?
I love that carpet in the front hall. The paint choices are good throughout. The furniture is great (not sold on all the art). With regards to the house itself, I would just change 2 things...okay 3. I would change the counter in the kitchen to carrerra marble, if the floors don't work with the marble, change the floors, and change the tile in the second floor bathroom.
This house is listed at $769,900.
What do you think this would cost if it were in the Annex or Rosedale? $4 million?
