333 Rumsey Road - NORTH LEASIDE

This is an interesting house in North Leaside!!  And no, I am not being sarcastic.

If you take the furniture out, this is basically just like any other new build but the furniture has definitely been thought about and gives the house character.

I don't love it all.  Actually there is a lot that I don't like but I like how it is put together.

The juju hat was a little unexpected and I like it.  I also like the Tom Dixon like pendants in the kitchen.  I really like a lot of the pillows, specifically the ones in the 'Spy Who Shagged Me' bedroom...

(That might explain the animal print overkill throughout the house!)

And since I don't listen to jazz, I was unaware of who Oscar Peterson was...

So I looked him up.  Turns out he is a famous Canadian jazz musician.   Apparently, Duke Ellington used to call him the 'Maharaja of the keyboard'.

Though I didn't know his name, I knew this song....

And now I know the man behind it.

Back to the house...this is your typical new build with 4+1 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms on a 30 x 135 foot lot.  The backyard is a good size with a hot tub though I am not sure about that metal sheeting planter thing, whatever that is....

And regardless of the new build beige paint and the yellow kitchen, this house shows REALLY well.

It is basically the same as the house at 30 Sharron Drive that just sold for $1,435,000, but this place is so much better.

And it has been on the market for just under a week at $1,589,000.

It's bigger, it's landscaped (regardless of that planter), and there is a good feeling to it.  Sure it needs a LOT of paint and I am not sure why the kitchen island is so narrow when there is room for it to be bigger, and the kitchen itself might need updating soon....

I think this will sell higher than Sharron...

And probably closer to list. Probably around $1,515,000.
