This is a 5+1 bedroom, 6 bathroom house on a 50 x 135.8 foot lot.
It isn't a new-new build because, according to the builder's website, it was featured in Toronto Life in 2009 (though I can't find the article).
But this is clearly a recent build.
This is what it used to look like when it was being converted from a rooming house to its current state...
That is quite a transformation.
I suppose this house could feel warm but right now, it is cold and seems really echoey. Maybe if that fig tree were a little larger...
And it is a lot of stone.
What do you think of the kitchen? It has that same light in the ceiling as the house at 65 Avonhurst Road in Etobicoke but I don't think there is any architect/builder overlap.
I like the exposed stone in the basement but I don't know what that courtyard thing is with the fountain and the french doors that open onto it.
And though it probably cost $10,000+, I have no idea what is going on with that red chair in the living room.
This place is listed at $4,900,000.
It may be large but I think it will be hard to find the right buyer for this place. I think this might sit for a while. I can't see price drops happening but it won't sell for list.
