24 Whitehall Avenue - ROSEDALE

I have to admit, the inside of this house was not what I was expecting.

I was expecting worn down and in need of a facelift.  Sure, the outside has been painted (though I kind of prefer the before minus the lions)...

But that doesn't mean anything has happened on the inside.

Clearly this place has had a lot of work and the first floor has great flow.

I don't love it all but if wood and kind of arts and crafts-y is your style, you will like this.

The front hall is a little weird though.  It looks like they kept the original wood and added new wood around it.

There has also been a huge addition in the back creating a huge kitchen, breakfast, family room area.  It's too bad they didn't do french doors out the back instead of that little area with the doors on either side.  Maybe they didn't want to hear the train going by.

Speaking of the train, this house backs onto the train just like the house a few doors down at 30 Whitehall.  From what I understand, 3 nights and you don't hear it and you might actually learn to like it, but for some, this train thing could be a problem.

For the people that live here, it must not be as that second floor porch is perfect for train watching.

The backyard of this house isn't huge but there is a 2 car garage and a drive for 2 cars with an electric gate.

With 4+2 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms on a 38.5 x 110 foot lot, this house offers a lot.

But $1,975,000?

This won't go over, and I don't think it will sell for asking, but it will be close.

Probably $1,949,000.

It is deceivingly large though.
