This house at 571 Jones Avenue was listed a year and a half ago for $468,000.  

It didn't sell and some work was put into it to fix it up.

It was recently listed again for $299,000.

Clearly, like the house at 7 Louise in Humewood that was listed at $299,900 and sold for $436,888, the owners of this house were also hoping for a bidding war.

And they got it.   

I thought it would sell over but not as high as Louise.

This house just sold...

For $420,000.

UPDATE: thanks to Jeannette for telling the story of her involvement in this insane bidding war on her blog called This Dusty House.  According to her post, there were a total of 17.....yes, SEVENTEEN bids!
