17 Berryman Street - YORKVILLE

This is a gutter.

It was built in 1888 and the listing says 'Please Note:House Is In Almost Original Condition'.

So, yeah....it's a gutter.

But it is located in Yorkville and Yorkville is a Heritage District.

It is located beside the 1974 Barton Myers house at 19 Berryman so at some point that was torn down, but I guess there was no 'Heritage' thing happening then.

So, what can be done with this?

Being in a Heritage zone, can this be completely gutted with a huge addition out the back but leave the front as is?

Even though the house at 34 Bishop Street one street over is also in a heritage district, it was gutted....

I am not sure about the addition though.

This is a 20 x 118.25 foot lot so this could be a great house with an addition.

But is the price too high?

This house is listed at $1,079,000.

Depending on what the possiblities are, maybe not!
