21 Hector Avenue - WYCHWOOD
Like the house at 51 Ashburnham in my last post, or the house at 383 Albany Avenue, this house is kind of located in what I feel is no man's land between Davenport and DuPont.
Not that it is a bad thing. It's just a weird strip of that is more definied by the 2 streets than anything else.
Ashburn which sold for $515,000 was located just south of Corso Italia. Albany which sold for $645,000 was located just south of Casa Loma.
This house is located just south of Wychwood and Hillcrest Park.
It is 3+1 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms on a 23 x 1100 foot lot.
It is a LOT bigger than either of the other two houses I mentioned.
Plus, it is completely renovated and has a garage. There are things about it that some readers might not like such as the glass wall and railing but it does open up the space. Also, it looks like the kitchen is IKEA which some people might have a problem with.
I am okay with the glass and the IKEA kitchen but would prefer tile at the front door.
There are not pictures but I am pretty sure there is a bathtub under the window in the front bathroom. But regarding that shower, it might just be the angle of the picture but it doesn't look like it would be possible to turn around in that thing!
Those are 12" tiles and it looks like they almost span the whole width of the shower!!!
And is that a tv behing those huge doors on the wall in the basement? I want to see what those look like open because that molding might prevent them from opening all the way and, if that were the case, they might sit open on top of the couch. Though I don't love them, a folding door might be a better option there.
But otherwise, this is a good house. It is a good size. It is near transit, it is close to a good park, it has a good sized backyard, and it has a garage.
The price is $845,000.
Assuming there is a bathtub and that shower isn't super narrow, this house will sell fast.
Probably close to list but possibly up to $865,000.
