83 The Bridle Path - BRIDLE PATH

 2005!!!!

That is when this house was first listed and it has been on and off the market ever since.

And regardless of being featured in the New York Times, Forbes Magazine, the Globe and Mail, the Financial Post, MTV Cribs, and probably countless numbers of modern design blogs, this house has yet to sell.

It is been listed as high as $16,000,000.

The owner, Binod Singh, is now a real estate agent but made money from selling one of the largest travel agency chains (and now he is an agent?).  He apparently built this house for his family, but since his children moved out, he and his wife have put it up for sale.

According to the 2009 article in the National Post, they once received an offer for $13,000,000 but turned it down.  Woops!

It then eventually had a price drop to $10,800,000.

Four years later and this 5+1 bedroom, 10 bathroom, 18,000 square foot house on a 221.09 x 475.28 foot lot is back on the market after a 2010 increase to $12,900,000.

It kind of reminds me of a cross between the Razor House44 Belvedere Drive in Oakville, 78 The Bridle Path down the street, and another house down the street at 172 Bridle Path.  Actually it reminds me a LOT of 172 Bridle Path!!! I wonder if TAS Design Build did both of them?  There are a lot of great similarities and also not so great (I am not a fan of either kitchen).

The new price is $13,980,000.

Almost $1 million more than an offer turned down years ago?

And double the amount of a similar house down the street at 172 The Bridle Path that needs work but could be the same or better (minus the basketball court!).

Not sure about this price.

BTW, just noticed I have been spelling 'Bridle' as 'Bridal' in every BridLE Path house I have posted.  Well, not everyone...but a LOT.  Woops.

(thanks J for sending this in!)
