This is an interesting house in Cedarvale.
It is 4+1 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms on a 54 x 115 foot lot with a garage and parking for 3 cars.
It was listed in 2011 for $1,079,000.

It was fine. There was nothing super exciting about it but it was a good house on a great lot. The addition or whatever it is on the side is a bit weird though. And there were many aspects that were outdated like that kitchen and the windows.
So, instead of just redoing the kitchen, the current owners opened up the whole first floor. I like the floors and I like the kitchen but I am not crazy about the front door opening right on the dining room.
At doesn't look like they touched the floors upstairs but they did redo the bathrooms and the railings. And the whole house has new windows.
And they added a huge deck in the back.
This house was listed last May for $1,729,000.
I guess it didn't sell because it is listed again...
For $1,679,000.
It is a really good lot and it is a good sized house with a finished basement and family room off the kitchen.
So, why didn't it sell last year? Maybe it's the layout. It's hard to tell but as I said, it seems a bit odd. Too bad there are no floor plans.
But otherwise, this seems like a lot of house for the money. I just wish the front door wasn't so open to the dining room.
I am not sure this is going to sell at the current price but I don't think it will be a lot less.
Few things come up in this neighbourhood and if everything else is good about this house, the dining room thing could be easily overlooked.
Maybe if they turned the table the other way so you can't see it from the door...?
P.S. What is the step ladder for in the master bedroom?
