289 Chaplin Crescent - FOREST HILL
What do you think?
Do you love it or hate it?
I am not crazy about the garage door but I love a lot of this house.
I like the lights, I love the floors, I am really into the kitchen and that vent hood, and I love the concrete looking fireplace wall.
It has a similar feel to the church conversion at 314 Palmerston Boulevard.
But this house is only 3 bedrooms.
Though it is 6,800 square feet with 5 bathrooms, it sits on a 30 x 159 foot lot that overlooks the Kay Gardiner Beltline Trail, and is basically like a huge treehouse...
I find the asking price really high for a 3 bedroom.
This house is listed for $3,699,000.
If it was 4 bedrooms...maybe.
Not to mention it has been listed since at least July.
Here is a picture of some of the art before they took it away for the photos below...
And yes! That is a painting of this photo by Christopher Hitchens from the 2008 Vanity Fair article about Eton Gollege in England...
Clearly, lots of space for art....
But just 3 bedrooms?
It's too high.
Perhaps closer to $2,899,000....
maybe $3,100,000.
