SOLD - 52 Harper Avenue - MOORE PARK
This house was listed over a month ago.
It is a 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 40 x 133 foot lot. It was on the market for a bit but by the time I saw it, it had already sold.
But because of an email from a reader (thanks S!) curious to know my thoughts about it, I am posting it now.
From the front, I love this house. I think it is warm and welcoming. It's on a great street in a very family friendly neighbourhood. There is lots of parking, a garage, a good sized yard in the front and the back....
Inside, it's not what I expected.
I did not expect that fireplace mantle, or the interesting panelling in the dining room...
And I DEFINITELY did not expect to be singing this song while looking through the pictures (press play)...

And that is the first thing I thought of when I saw this living room carpet!
It's a Coogi carpet!!!
Along with the carpet, there are a few other interesting design choices throughout the house (like the walls that remind me of the house at 6 Elderwood Drive in Forest Hill) but it is a good house. The kitchen isn't brand new but it is a good size and layout. I am not sure if it is just the pictures, but though that basement looks bright, the ceiling height looks REALLY low.
And is the third floor finished properly or was that just staging?
All in all, this is a good house in a good neighbourhood.
It was listed at $2,395,000.
It sold...
For $2,230,000.
