But it's a garage. And not a nice one.
It is 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms split into 2 lofts that are 2,800 square feet each.
And the price is $1,490,000!!!
I suppose the old ice house at 234 Browning Avenue in Playter Estates...
(still shocked by that one).
The laneway house at 2 Miles Place in Christie Pits...
Sold for $829,000 and it was on an only 17.61 x 35.21 foot lot. But it was 3 storeys of living space and it was done well.
And there was the place across the lane at 5 Miles Place...
That wasn't as large as 2 Miles Place, but was also done well and in a better location than this place. It sold for $662,558.
There was also the laneway house at 42B Grant Street in Leslieville...
That sat on a 29 x 30 foot lot and sold for $657,000.
And of course, there is the ridiculous shack/garden shed/garage at 30 Hanson Street in the Greenwoood-Coxwell area...
That sat on a 20 x 14.5 square foot lot, had no water and basically no space for a bed. It sold for $165,000.
So....if we are going to compare properties based on square footage of land...
The cost for 30 Hanson was $569/square foot.
The Leslieville house was $755/square foot.
The house at 2 Miles Place was $1,337/square foot of land.
And this property!?!
It's $298/square foot of land!!!!
So....maybe it's not so crazy after all!
But when you consider that the house at 250 Rusholme Road in Dufferin Grove was only $250/square foot...
