375 Shaw Street - LITTLE ITALY (UPDATE!)
When I first saw this 4+2 bedroom, 3 bathroom detached house on a 23.5 x 127 foot lot between College and Dundas, and I saw that it had a coach house in the back...
I thought of the Leslieville house at 75 McGee Street that was listed a few years ago and also had a coach house. It was first listed at $1,250,000, but I don't think it ever sold.
Then I saw the inside of this house and immediately thought of the Parkdale house at 193 Cowan Avenue that I posted in Decemeber. Like this house, it had some interested paint colour choices.
It was a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom semi on a 21.77 x 172 foot lot. It was listed at $868,600. It sold for $860,000.
But what really first popped into my head when I saw this house was this...
She just needs the kitchen from 193 Cowan...
And it's perfect!
Apparently, the coach house has...
Lane Access Garage Plus Kitch/Living 2 Bdr Office/Artist Studio
With that included, this house is 4,000 square feet and there is an indoor concrete pool/solarium (wtf is that!?!).
The asking price is $1,200,000.
It's large, with beautiful original features. But is something like this worth keeping?
It even has blue paint on it!*
So, if everything needs to be done (while still perhaps keeping SOME original features), does the asking price make sense?
It might be a little high, though it's hard to tell the true state of the house from the pictures.
But I bet it goes close to asking.
Really, I just wanted to post this house because it reminded me of Pippi Longstocking.
And I am not talking about this Pippi Longstocking..
Though this image is probably more along the lines of what this house will look like after the inevitable flip.
*UPDATE: Thanks to the commentor below for sharing the link to better photos of this house!
Not only does it include more and better shots where I can see that this isn't actually painted blue...
It's just a reflection.
But it also shows the pool.
And...
UMMMMMMMM...
