the MASH

829 Manning Avenue - SEATON VILLAGE

Sometimes when I am talking about a house that needs a LOT of work, I call it a gutter.

I guess essentially that isn't the right word to use in some cases, though things like new wiring, new windows, maybe new walls and insulation, usually a new kitchen just feels like more than a reno and more like a gutter.

Whatever gutter means to you, there is one thing we can all agree on.  It's that this house is definitely a gutter, and it is...NASTY!

As in, like the before photos of the house at 385 Clinton Street, this house reminds me of the house in the Blair Witch Project...

It is giving me the serious creeps.

Especially this photo...

WHAT was going on here before this place was listed!?!

Actually, I don't want to know.

As it is now, this house is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom semi on a 15.75 x 7967.00 (I suspect that is a typo) foot lot in Seaton Village.

It is listed at $639,900.

Hmm.

If the house that had 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that really only needed a kitchen and some paint (okay, maybe a few other things) at 779 Euclid sat for months at $699,000, is this place that needs a full gut going to sell at asking?

I don't think so.

Perhaps closer to $549,000....maybe a little higher.

The person who buys it needs a bit lower of a price for their bravery just for going to the house, let alone opening up those walls!!!
