PRICE DROP #2 - 25 Maclennan Avenue - ROSEDALE (CLICK PHOTO TO READ MORE!)
In April (yes, that was still that much snow in April), I posted this 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom house on a 40 x 100 foot lot at 25 Maclennan Avenue in North Rosedale.
I love the house....on the inside. On the outside, I don't get that stone at all.
But the inside is great...if you like white, which I do.
I loved the natural wood closet doors at the front, I love the hardwood floor colour throughout, I loved the light in the front hall, the kitchen (except for that fridge placement) is great, the second floor is bright, the third floor is bright....
It's just that this is only a 3 bedroom house and the way the top 2 bedrooms are set up, it's really a 1+1 bedroom house with an office.
And for $2,795,000!?!
Clearly a LOT of money was put into it....
And sure it is owned by
Michelle Lloyd,
the former v.p. of design at Club Monaco, and partner of Lloyd Ralphs Design, the design firm run by Lloyd and Christine Ralphs also of Club Monaco.
But this was not a $2.8 house.
I thought maybe $2,450,000.
It didn't sell and in May the price was dropped to $2,495,000.
It still didn't sell and it is now back on the market.
They moved the front hall light to the dressing room (why!?!), new furniture has been added and old furniture moved to create a more traditional layout...
And this room is gone...
I liked that room.
They have also added photos of the 'garage' that has the small IKEA Hektar lights.
The new asking price is $2,350,000.
Is the new layout going to work? It might. But even though I love this house...
It is still only 2+1 bedrooms.
P.S. Forgot to mention the awesome storage place for the computer...
