145 Galley Avenue - RONCESVALLES (CLICK ON PHOTO TO READ MORE!)
Do you recognize this house?
It's the disgusting Roncesvalles house at 145 Galley Avenue that I posted in January that used to look like this on the outside...
And this on the inside...
It was in such bad shape that even the listing said...
Please Leave The Kids At Home When Coming For A Visit - Not For The Faint Of Heart
It was listed at $649,900. It sold for $803,649.
It has now been completely redone and it is back on the market (the agent is also the owner).
It is kind of impossible to decide what is happening here from the pictures, but though the kitchen looks good (though I don't understand why the stove and oven are black when the fridge is white), the layout doesn't make sense to me.
It's got the 'triangle' that you are supposed to have, but the island is in the way. The fridge, and especially the sink, are too far away from the stove .
Who wants to carry a huge pot of boiling water through the kitchen, around the island, across the pathway to the back door so that you can drain it in the sink?
Doesn't make sense and definitely not good if you have young kids.
And considering this has 3 small bedrooms on the second floor, this reno was done for a family (too bad that second floor bathroom is so small!).
I also don't get that back wall in the kitchen. Why is it so closed off to the backyard?
Basically, I don't get this house. Then again, the pictures aren't complete.
But maybe that is because the house isn't complete!
Apparently, the listing for this 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom flip on a 20 x 128 foot lot with a 2 car garage has been sent out saying...
"**Attention** No Sign Or Lock Box. Work Is 80% Complete And Will Be Finished By Dec 1st. Do Not Visit The Construction Site!! Contact Paolo Castellano Directly For More Information. Serious Inquiries Only Please! Seller Is Rrea. Attach Disclosure With Offers"
The asking price is $1,499,999.
(thanks to everyone who sent this in!)
