When I first saw the listing for this house at 44 Scarborough Road in the Beaches...
For some reason I thought it was this house...
That 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is located at 80 Victoria Park Road and it sold for $1,589,000 in March.
This house is 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms on a 24 x 120 foot lot that used to look like this...
I am not sure if it is a new build or a rebuild, but if you aren't into walnut, you won't be into this house.
There is a LOT of walnut.
I find it kind of dark, but I like it. I don't love the red trim or the red counter, but that could be changed (I think).
I like the kitchen, I like the bathrooms, I like the fake grass in the backyard (even though it is made of several carpets, not a full sheet).
And of course, this being the Beaches, there is a hot tub...
What is with the Beaches and hot tubs!?!
But where is the dining room? There is no dining room.
You want more than this for a dining room...
And maybe an air conditioning unit that isn't in the middle of the back deck...
A new roof on the shed...
And enough space on the deck where 4 people can actually sit without falling over...
When the asking price of $1,970,000,
But overall, it is a really great house. Just not for the asking price.
P.S. It's too bad the white oak floors are stained so dark. It would really brighten up the house if they had been left just naturally oiled.
