61 Robert Street - HARBORD VILLAGE

Last week, I saw this house and immediately wanted to post it.  Then I got sidetracked.

Thankfully, a reader sent it in this weekend (thanks C!).

This house is a 3+1 bedroom (currently a 2+2 bedroom), 3 bathroom house on an 18.67 x 92 foot lot with 2 parking spots at 61 Robert Street.

The paint in this house may not be for everyone.  Though I am not so into the green, I love how the house is painted.  I like the stripes at the front hall, the random walls that are painted different colours, the paint around the basement door...

And it all matches this couch...

Though I can't confirm, according to the reader who sent this in, this house was designed by and was (is?) the home of Bruce Kuwabara, one of the founding partners of KPMB Architects...

An architect firm that I mentioned in the post for 141 Isabella Street where I suggested a larger building could be built around this building...

Ss KPMB built around the told McCain house at the Canada's National Ballet School...

They are also the firm who designed the house (I think a long time ago) at 115 Dunvegan Road...

That posted in October and is still asking $10,995,000.

And among a ton of other buildings like the TIFF Bell Lightbox...

KPMB, specifically Kuwabara, was also behind the ravine house at 105 Glen Road...

That is located across the street from the 'Rosedale Compound' at 98, 100, and 102 Glen Road.

So, this is a pretty good find.  But other than the wood on the outside of the back of the house, there isn't a ton here screaming 'big fancy architect'.

But it is a really good house.

It's listed at $1,299,000.

If the row house across the street at 46 Robert Street that is dated...

Could sell for $1,161,000...

I don't see any reason why this won't sell for ask.
