AND IT WENT FOR - 189 Woodmount Avenue - EAST YORK
Yesterday, I posted this 2+2 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on a 25 x 100 foot lot at 189 Woodmount Avenue in East York.
It was a a flip with an interesting layout that could either be for a family with teenagers, or as a rental with an owner unit, or 2 rentals.
From the front, I didn't think I would like it but I did. I thought it was a great house.
It was listed at $649,900.
I thought it would sell over $700,000.
Earlier today, the builder, Jeff Reed, who is owner of Priority Management, was featured in Toronto Life Magazine a few years ago, and is apparently somehow behind the condo at 68 Broadview Avenue that I loved (that was also designed by Croma Design)...
Posted this on his Facebook page...
SOLD! In a bidding war last night that lasted until 12;30am! $150k over asking! I'm tired, and a bit sad to see it go
I am not sure of the exact number, but until I do, I am going with this selling for $799,900 (it sold for $800,000*).
Do I think this is crazy? Not really actually.
After all, there were TWO things of Pellegrino...
And it is a good way to get into the market with part of your mortgage being paid.
But I am sure there are many people who will think this was crazy.
Clearly, the people who were up until 1230am bidding on this place didn't think it was so nuts...
Unless by that point they were just drunk...
