AND IT WENT FOR - 164 Wheeler Avenue - BEACHES
At the beginning of October, I posted this 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom detached house on a 27 x 102 foot lot at 164 Wheeler Avenue in the Beaches.
I wasn't crazy about the front, but I really liked the inside.
I wish they had stuck with the floors and the door handles that were in the design spec sheets (or whatever they are called)...
Because I am not crazy about the floors they went with.
I suppose if you were really not into them though, you could always sand and restain them for about $6,000 (guesstimate) before you moved in and then you would have a great house.
This house was listed at $1,790,000.
When I posted it, it had already been on the market for a couple of weeks.
So, other than the floors, what was I missing?
If the semi at 66 Spruce Hill Road...
Could sell for $1,657,850...
Then why was this house as a detached house selling for $130,000 more?
A couple readers pointed out that there was no proper foyer among a couple of other things which could be a problem for some. But it was still a good house.
It has finally sold...
For $1,735,000.
