This is a 2+1 bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow on a 37.56 x 96 foot lot at 20 The Palisades in Swansea.
It was a good house that was very well taken care of, had original features like the floors and the fireplace (and I am assuming those built-ins), and a kitchen that was dated but in good shape.
It wasn't on a very deep lot but the lot was very wide at almost 38 feet.
It was listed at $998,000.
For a lot that wide, it was low, and either the agent didn't know what they were doing, or they were looking for a bidding war because I would have thought this would be listed closer to $1,295,000 or a little more.
According to the reader who sent it in the listing yesterday, there was a bidding war...
And it was a bidding war of 35 people!!!

After 35 offers, this house sold...
For $1,533,000.
Crazy? I don't know. Unless the plan is to build townhouses, it's too narrow to split.
But a modern new build with a third floor overlooking High Park and Grenadier Pond? That could be pretty amazing.
