SOLD - 15 Jean Street - ROSEDALE
Last week, a reader sent in this 4+1 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on a 39 x 132 foot pie shaped lot at 15 Jean Street in North Rosedale.
It was a house that was last listed in 2011 when the asking price was $899,000 and, according to another reader, it 'was a dump'. It sold for $877,000.
Since then, it has been renovated/flipped with a family room extension.
It's a good reno and I can overlook the groovy floors because I really like the kitchen. It's big with lots of storage and it is a good flow to the back living room/mud room extension. I just don't understand why there is that little step.
And I don't understand why the master bedroom is on the first floor as well.
If you didn't need all 4 bedrooms, that master could be a really good family room with that bar area. And it looks like a doorway could be made from the dining room to that room to create a better flow.
Upstairs, the rooms are a good size.
And the backyard is huge.
The only problem is it is RIGHT beside the CN train tracks as you can see from this earth view sent in from the reader who sent in the listing...
So...definitely a deal breaker for some.
Or a great deal for a good house on a large lot if that doesn't bother you.
And it looks like someone was good with those tracks.
This house was listed at $1,495,000.
It sold...
For $1,700,000.
