AND IT WENT FOR - 39 Howland Avenue - ANNEX

In February 2013, I posted this house that was a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom detached on a 31 x 127 foot lot at 39 Howland Avenue in the Annex.

I wasn't crazy about the style of the furniture and the decor, but I was obsessed with the house.  There was SOOOO much potential.

It was listed at $1,895,000.  I thought it would sell fast and close to $1,950,000.  It didn't.

By March, the price was dropped to $1,795,000.

It sold for $1,775,000.  I thought someone got a deal and I was curious to see what the did with it.

Three years later, it was on the market again and...

It wasn't exactly what I had in mind AT ALL but you had to admit it was quite a renovation.

The new asking price was $4,995,000.

That was high!

And I wasn't the only one who thought so because this house sat.

Then I guess the owners had to move out because this house was relisted with the original furniture gone and replaced with what one reader said...

Looks like they were marketing to a frat house

Okay, the furniture is a bit nicer than a frat house but the living room is definitely laid out like a '5 roommates in their first duplex rental in the Annex after school' kind of lay out (so same thing I guess)...

I'm not sure if they ever dropped the price but according to several readers, this house sold a few weeks ago.

And according to one reader...

It sold for $4,300,000.
