166 Dovercourt Road - BEACONSFIELD VILLAGE (1 Comment)

This is a 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom duplex (or triplex) with 2 parking spaces on a 20.33 x 131.92 foot lot at 166 Dovercourt Road in Beaconsfield Village.

When I saw the interior, I first thought of the duplex at 1575 Dundas Street West that I posted at the end of November...

They sort of have a similar feel but this one has a much different facade.  And I can't decide if I like it or not.

Here is the rendering of what the house was supposed to look like...

Here is a photo of it from when it was in this Globe and Mail article from June 2016...

According to that Globe and Mail article, it was built by Laleh Rouhani (who also happens to be the agent) of Luloo Boutique Homes who was behind the house at 68 Dovercourt Road...

 That looked like this inside...

This house was designed by architect Nima Javidi and designers Behnaz Assadi and Hanieh Rezaei of JA Studios Inc. in collaboration with ARTA Design and Build, the same people behind the house at 337 Cleveland Street in Davisville Village...

(Hmmm.  Same photographer too?)

Here is what this house looked like before in 2012...

And here it is during construction...

According to the Globe and Mail article, this house was built to be rented out as Airbnb units with each unit (all about 1,000 square feet) renting for between $400-500/night.  And according to the listing are leased out until June and July.

It is now on the market and the asking price is $2,399,000.
